Settings in detail

Use the slider next to Country Borders to determine how prominent you would like the outline of each country to be. This is particularly helpful for when the cloud cover is too thick to clearly see each individual country.

Choose Favourites to display the city names of your favourite locations on the map or switch off to hide them.

Our Benchmark button is dedicated to all users with a strong technical background or a nerdy passion. Switch this feature on to get information about caused data traffic and displayed frames per second (FPS) which appears right from the selected location at the top.

You can also toggle with the Playback Speed for when you play an animation of the weather conditions for the coming hours/ days. You can choose between showing animations representing one hour per second, up to 6 hours per second.

To select multiple layers at the same time, switch on the Combine Layers button (default setting). This will allow you to see multiple weather elements at the same time, to gain a more comprehensive overview of the weather conditions.

Use the City Lights slider to adjust the brightness of the displayed locations while using the night view. When an area is covered in darkness, you will be able to find populated areas which have lights turned on at night. The most densely-populated areas show up brighter than other areas, such as capital cities.

Offering access to the best HD content, Apple TV will let you truly appreciate how our 3D app brings the weather to life. MeteoEarth and the big screen are made for each other!

For additional settings, click on the More button on the bottom right of the menu. This will bring up details such as: News & Info, FAQ & Tutorial, access to your premium account and more.
