With MeteoEarth, seeing is believing! You don’t need to be a weather enthusiast to love MeteoEarth. The awesome design and smooth movement means it’s simply a pleasure to show-off with this app.
Here you get an overview about the main functionalities of MeteoEarth.
Getting started
A 3D globe is the first thing you will see when opening MeteoEarth. This displays forecast weather data and visualises of what the world’s weather will look like over the next 24 hours.
Zoom in and out of any location by touching two fingers to the screen and spreading them apart/ pinching them together. Then you can move to a different area of the globe by swiping across the screen with one finger.
Favourite locations
At the top of the screen you can see the name of the selected location, including the local time and current weather overview. To view this information for another location, click on the top of the screen and a list of favourite locations will be displayed in a drop-down menu. If you can’t find the location you desire, you can add a favourite by clicking the (+) button. To delete any of these locations, click on the icon in the right corner (symbol with three horizontal lines) to open the edit mode, and use the common red button to delete from favourites.
Time slider
The time slider allows you to view an animation of weather conditions for the coming 24 hours (5 days with Premium). You can manually slide your finger along the bar, or click play for an automatic animation.
