WeatherPro has forecast data for over two million locations worldwide, including cities and points of interest. The Favourites tab enables you to search for locations and save them as favourites.
To search for a location, simply type the name of the city or point of interest into the search field and press search. If too many results or no results appear, check the spelling or type in the complete location. In a number of countries, it’s also possible to search by postcode. Regions or federal states can be separated by a comma eg: Los Angeles, CA. Click on your selected location to be taken to the weather forecast view.
To save a location to your list of favourites, click on the star to the right of the place name. The location will be added to the end of the list. Your favourites will be displayed every time you open the tab. You can edit favourites by selecting the pencil icon in the bottom right. For more detailed information, including the nearest available weather station, simply click on the “i” button to the right of any of your favourite locations.
At the top of your favourites list, you will see an additional option called “My Location”. If “My Location” is selected, WeatherPro will automatically locate you and will show you the weather (both in the forecast view and on the weather maps) for your current location.
Map-based location search
To view your favourites or selected location on the map, click on the globe icon. Your locations will be pinpointed on the map with the latest weather icon. You can also change the map to satellite or a satellite/map hybrid.
Although WeatherPro has over 2 million locations in its database, there are odd occasions when a particular place can't be found. In this instance, the map provides a simple solution. Click on the pin-button in the lower right hand corner and a purple pin will appear on the map. Pick up the pin and drag it to roughly the location you’re looking for, then let go to drop it on the map. Click on the target symbol which appears above the pin and all available weather stations in the near vicinity will appear on the map, displayed as green pins. Click on any of the green pins to see the locations and when you find what you’re looking for, click on the star. The pin will turn red and you’ve successfully saved it to your Favourites. Return to your favourites list to select your new location.
WeatherPro can also locate your nearest weather station by GPS which is particularly useful if you are out and about and would quickly like to know what the forecast will bring for the next couple of hours. Click on the arrow button in the lower left hand corner and the map will zoom in to your location. Next, click on the pin-button in the lower right hand corner. A purple pin will appear on the map with a target symbol. Click on the target symbol and continue to follow the instructions as above.
