Making the most of the exciting iOS 7 multitasking functionality, we’re pleased to introduce weather to the lockscreen. To use this feature, you must have a Premium account and the app should running in the background. To activate the feature go to More > Settings > Notification Center. Please be aware that the widget may not appear immediately (it will appear and update based on your user habits as detected by iOS 7).
After subscribing to Premium, we recommend you register your account (More / Settings / Status Premium / Assigned to account / Create New Account). After entering the username, password and e-mail address, we will automatically send you a verification email with a confirmation link. However, this verification email is being “blocked” by some providers (currently mainly GMX) so if you do not receive the verification email please contact our support team. Please provide us with your username and we will activate your account.
If you experience any other problems during the registration process please don’t create a new account, simply contact us and we will help.
There could be two reasons for Premium to stop working on WeatherPro:
1.) Your Premium subscription has expired. Open WeatherPro and go to More / Settings / Status Premium. If your subscription has expired you will find no reference to a valid subscription. To purchase Premium click on Active and select from the options.
2.) You have changed your iPhone and the new handset is not registered in our database. If you still have your old device, you can transfer your subscription yourself.
Step 1 - Creating an account
First set up an account to back-up your Premium purchase. You must do this on the device on which you originally purchased Premium. Please open WeatherPro, go to More / Settings / Status Premium / Assigned to account / Create New Account. You will receive a verification email; click the link in this email to verify your email-address. You will receive a second email to confirm that your account is now set up.
Step 2 - Assigning the device to your new account
Next, you need to connect this device to your account in order to transfer the premium information from the device to the account. Open Settings on the device then go to Status Premium / Assigned to account. Enter your credentials (user name / password) then press the button "Register This Device". Now the device is linked to your account so if you lose the device you can re-register (Step 3) to re-active your premium subscription on a new device.
Step 3 - Assign further devices and "transfer premium"
Now you can share Premium on multiple devices. On another device, enter your account credentials under More / Settings / Status Premium / Assigned to account and again press "Register This Device".
If the above answers do not solve the problem, do not buy Premium again. Contact our support team and we can help you re-activate your subscription.
The error occurs if your iOS device is signed in to the App Store with a different Apple-ID to the one used when you installed WeatherPro. You must use the same account to set up purchase Premium.
To determine the Apple ID your device is currently signed in with:
- Open iTunes on your Mac/PC: Store / View My Account (youremail@address.com)
- Open Settings on your device: Settings / iTunes & App Stores > Apple-ID: (youremail@address.com)
If you determine that your device is not signed in with the correct Apple-ID:
1. Double press the Home button on your device to ensure WeatherPro is not open or running in the background.
2. Sign out from the current Apple-ID (Settings / iTunes & App Stores > Apple-ID / Sign Out).
3. Sign in with the correct Apple-ID (Settings / iTunes & App Stores > Apple-ID / Sign In).
4. Re-launch WeatherPro and try your subscription purchase again.
If the instructions above don’t work or if you determine that your current Apple-ID is correct but you still cannot complete the purchase:
1. Delete WeatherPro from your device.
2. Sign out from your Apple-ID (Settings / iTunes & App Stores > Apple-ID / Sign Out).
3. Sign back in with your Apple-ID (Settings / iTunes & App Stores > Apple-ID / Sign In).
4. Open the App Store on your device, search for WeatherPro and re-install it on your device (you will not be charged again).
5. Open WeatherPro and try your subscription purchase again.
This error message appears if payment can’t be completed. There are several possible reasons for this. Please check that:
- On your iPhone, Settings / General / Restrictions is set to “OFF”.
- You are logged in to the same iTunes account with which you bought WeatherPro.
- It's no jailbreak iPhone with installed AppSync (which has to be removed before purchasing Premium).
If the data is not updating or is not displayed at all, this means that WeatherPro is failing to communicate with our database server. This could be due to a service problem (maintenance, errors, server failures). Please check for support messages on Twitter: twitter.com/weatherpro or at Twitter News on www.weatherpro.eu.
If there is no service problem then it could be an issue with your internet connection. please check your connection. if a connection is available but WeatherPro is still not working , please contact our support team.
Please note that if your internet connection works but you are still experiencing data problems then WeatherPro may try to load old data. To stop this please go to “Settings” (in your device, not in the app itself) and select WeatherPro. In “Program Settings” change “Reset Data Cache” to “ON”.
Please check your time zone, time and date settings.
For an overview of the features available on WeatherPro please visit www.weatherpro.eu and select the relevant device. This will provide you with general instructions for use whilst below we have tried to answer a few more specific questions.

To delete a favourite just tap on the "pencil" icon in the lower left corner, press the red button next to the location you wish to delete and then confirm. Press the "pencil" icon again to come out of this mode.
To explain which data is shown in the charts, we have integrated a key, indicated by a small “i” in the top left corner of each chart. Click on the “i” to get information on the charts and graphs.
The sunrise and sunset times are found in the Weather section. Open the weather page for the location of your choice, click on the day you are interested in and then click on the arrow at the top right of page. This expands or hides the daily summary which includes the sunrise and sunset times.

WeatherPro is developed by MeteoGroup, Europe’s largest independent weather company. At MeteoGroup, we have developed our own forecast system which is used, not only for WeatherPro, but also to serve our business customers. Forecast accuracy is therefore of utmost importance for all of our products and WeatherPro users benefit from forecasts being updated and revised several times every day.
A lot of questions can be answered by looking on WeatherPro itself so please have a look through our FAQ and Online Help sections. If you are unable to find the answer you are looking for or you would like to contact us with a suggestion for future development, please email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
We currently have over 2 million locations on our database and it is being continually added to. However, if the place you are looking for is not available, simply send us an email, providing the name of the location and (ideally) the corresponding administrative region and we’ll add your desired location to the service.
If WeatherPro is used offline, you will receive a warning that no data connection is available. Information will still be displayed using data stored during your last online session, but it won't update.
No problem. Just ensure that data roaming is enabled within the iPhone settings. However, be careful as roaming costs are not included within standard smartphone contracts so you will be charged. To avoid the potentially high roaming costs, we recommend connecting via WiFi.
With a premium subscription, you will benefit from a lot more functionality and data such as 14 day forecasts and precipitation type radar. Buying, processing and hosting all this extra data is expensive!
No, future WeatherPro updates will include additional developments to the standard and premium services. Even without premium services WeatherPro is the most comprehensive weather app available on the market.
